What is a light box?
A light box is a lightweight Plexiglass box with a custom photo poster that is backlit by LEDs. Our light boxes can be used as nightlights, and each light box has a power cord with a switch on it.
What is a light box made of?
Our light boxes are made of Plexiglass. The attached photo poster is backlit with LEDs and printed with high-quality, non-fading ink.

Is the light box safe?
Yes, our light boxes are extremely safe: We don't use any allergen materials, and the LED lights never get hot.
What do I need to mount my light box?
Our light boxes are shipped ready-to-hang; all you need is a nail in the wall and an electrical socket somewhere near it.
Can I use the lightbox with concealed wiring?
Yes, you can. If you’re going to mount it this way, please let us know and we’ll prepare the power cord appropriately.
Is it possible to make a cordless light box with batteries?
Unfortunately, due to their low thickness, light boxes cannot be powered with batteries. Each light box has a power cord that you will need to plug into an electrical socket.

What is a light clock?
A light clock is a lightweight Plexiglass box with a custom photo poster that is backlit by LEDs. Each light clock has silent and correct quartz movements and transparent arms.
Does the clock’s movement work with a power supply?
No, only the LED lighting works with a power supply. The clock’s movement requires one AA battery, which is not included.
What is the light clock’s wattage?
Wattage depends on the light clock’s size:

PRODUCT: CANVAS PRINT

What kind of finishing protection do you add to the canvas?
Each canvas is treated with an ultra-protective, UV-Matte finish. This protects your canvas from cracks, flakes, and bubbles, and it will never fade.
Do you offer other sizes that are not options on your website?
Yes, we can offer other sizes. For inquiries of this nature, please contact us and we will work with you to fulfil your needs.
Are there any special mounting instructions that I should know about when hanging my piece?
Our canvas prints are shipped ready-to-hang; all you need is a nail in the wall.

PRODUCT: FRAMED PHOTO LIGHT

What is a framed photo light?
A framed photo light is a device that — with energy-efficient, bright LEDs — backlights your photo, which is housed in an oriental-style tabletop photo frame.
What is the frame made of?
The frame is made of plywood; however, thanks to our high-quality paint and laser cutting, it looks just like it’s made of metal.
Does the framed photo light need a power supply?
Yes, the LEDs need a power supply. Each framed photo light has a power cord and a switch on its back.
What is the framed photo light’s wattage?
Wattage depends on the framed photo light’s size:

Is it possible to change my photo?
We use Plexiglass 3D boxes and a special light-diffusing material to beautify your photos. For this reason, your photos cannot be substituted the way they could be in a usual photo frame.

ORDERING

How long does it take to receive my free digital proofs?
That largely depends on the quality of your photos. Ideally, after you receive our confirmation email, we’d like to have your sketches completed and sent to you within one business day. We may, however, without explanation, refuse to make digital proofs.
Where do I input my promotional code?
Once you've decided on what you want, there will be a section in the order page labeled “Promo Code”.
What is the maximum file size you can accept?
Our website does not accept files larger than 15 MB. If your file is larger than 15 MB and you don’t know how to properly reduce its size, please contact us at info@lightartbox.com

CARE AND USE

Can I hang my artwork outside?
This is a tricky question — where is outside? In short, no artwork should ever be hung in direct sunlight or be directly exposed to wet weather conditions for extended periods of time. We deliberately finish all our pieces with UV-limiting laminate, and we also use a water-resistant coating, but this does not make the artwork waterproof.
How do I clean/maintain my canvas/light box/light clock?
A soft duster is ideal for keeping your product clean. You may also use a very lightly-damp cloth.

IMAGE AND FILE SUPPORT

What formats does LightArtBox accept through its website?
We've set up our site to accept the most popular formats: JPEG, TIFF, or PNG.
What if I have a picture that I really like and want to have it printed on a canvas/light box/light clock, but it’s not the right format?
If you are unsure how to convert your picture without losing its quality, contact us at info@lightartbox.com and we will be happy to help you.

Can you fix my image if it is pixelated?
Sometimes there’s that one photo you particularly love, but it’s too pixelated or it didn’t come out very well. Low-resolution images are not a problem: We have a variety of filters and effects that we will use to reduce the pixelated look in your image.
What is your privacy policy in regard to the use of my images?
For our full privacy policy, please read our terms of conditions. In short, we are not allowed to use your images in any other way other than to print them just as how you asked us to print them.
I would like to change the image that I originally submitted with my order. How do I do this?
Since there is only a limited amount of time to make this request, you will need to contact us ASAP at info@lightartbox.com. We will then provide you with instructions on how to send us a new image, if it is not too late
What image size is required to make the best possible canvas print/light box/light clock?
The recommended file size (without needing to apply any low-resolution filters) is approximately 1 MB or larger. However, we specialize in working with all levels of image qualities.
I'm not sure if my image is copyrighted or not; what happens if it is? Will you inform me?
We have to take copyright issues seriously, and we understand that sometimes violations are unintentional. If a copyright issue arises with your image, one of our customer service reps will be in contact with you to hammer out a workable solution.
Can I add text to my image?
Of course you can! On the order page there is a box labeled “Your comment,” where you can add the text that you want added to your image. Don’t forget to customize the image by letting us know your desired size, color, font, and location that you want the text placed.

SHIPPING

I need my order by a certain date; what do I do?
We understand that time is always of the essence! If you need your order delivered by a certain date, please indicate it in the comment section of the order page. If it is urgent and the due date is near, we may need to add rush shipping to your order to ensure it arrives by the set deadline. Once you've placed your order, let us know that it’s urgent by contacting us at info@lightartbox.com with your order number.
Will you send me tracking information once my package has been shipped?
Yes! Once our delivery man has picked up your order, a tracking number will be attached to your package and we will email you that tracking number.
Whom do you ship with?
We use UPS Express Saver™, which can take up to 4 business days.
How long does it take to receive my order?
After you choose which sketch you’d like and we receive your confirmation, it will take 1-2 business days to complete your order. Production time depends on the dimension of your product. Once we've inspected the completed print, it will be packaged and picked up by our delivery man. Delivery can take 2-3 business days, depending on how far your package is sent from our workshop. Please check our shipping map for delivery ETA.
How do I change the shipping or billing address on my order?

I'm not happy with the LightArtBox product I received; what do I do?
First off, we are terribly sorry that you are not 100% satisfied with your product. Please let us know what exactly you did not like with your order, and let us fix it by reprinting it for you.
My order arrived damaged; what do I do?
WWe make every effort to ensure your order doesn’t get damaged during delivery; however, even when all precautions have been taken, damage may occur. In such instances, hold on to the packaging, take pictures of the damaged area(s), and send them to us via email at info@lightartbox.com. We will have your reprint shipped as soon as possible.

BILLING

Do you offer discounts for designers, artists, or photographers?

Why did you charge my credit card before I received my canvas/light box/light clock?
We won't bill you until you've confirmed the sketch that you want us to produce. We only accept payment as a confirmation because everything we make is custom, and thus its produced on-demand. We must bill you in advance before any work can begin.
I cancelled my order; why haven't I received my refund yet?
Trust us, we aren't stalling — your refund is on its way back to you! It can take up to 7-10 business days for a refund to be fully processed through your credit card company.
